Doll House

In my opinion Helmer's reaction to Nora's confession was a little extreme. Helmer had a right to be concerned about his reputation but, the way he speaks to the woman he loves, exchanged vows with and beared his children is disgusting. Helmer:.... You will therefore continue to reside here, but the children shall be taken out of your hands. I dare no longer entrust them to you. (act3 P319). Who does he think he is? Yes be upset but don't cast away your woman like that. Especially, considering she did for him and their families well being. Nora had every right to leave him. She shouldn't have left her children forever but to get urself together would have been acceptable.
